The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) has announced modifications to the administration of the Intern Written Exam. Beginning in 2025, remote online proctoring via OnVUE will no longer be available, except under special circumstances.
CEO Bronwyn Clark explained that remote testing was introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic to support pharmacy candidates but is now being phased out in favor of test center-based exams.
"Since the pandemic, most candidates have returned to test centers as their preferred examination setting. To ensure exam security and integrity, we will continue with in-person assessments, with remote proctoring available only in exceptional cases."
APC highlights that test centers provide a stable and controlled environment, reducing technical disruptions and ensuring consistency in assessment conditions.
"Our priority is to offer a fair and reliable assessment process. While we acknowledge the challenges of in-person exams for some, this transition ensures standardized evaluation for all candidates," Clark emphasized.
APC remains dedicated to assisting candidates through this transition.
