                  The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) is pleased to announce the program and Early Bird registration opening for their 2025 
                  <a href="#" style="color: #0fb995; text-decoration: none;">IPE Colloquium™</a>, which is being held on 13 May 2025 at Rydges Hotel, Melbourne.
                </p>
                <p>
                  The annual IPE Colloquium™ event builds upon APC’s ongoing efforts to work towards an interdisciplinary approach to health profession education and assessment. This popular event aims to provide a platform for cross-disciplinary dialogue between health profession educators, policymakers, and students.
                </p>
                <p>
                  Under the confirmed theme of <strong>"Breaking boundaries: Education as an enabler of trust in healthcare"</strong>, APC has secured speakers from across the sector. The 2025 program is centred around how education can enable trust in healthcare and prepare students for a future shaped by expanded scopes of practice, misinformation, and planetary health.

            <h1 style="color: #0fb995; text-align: center;">APC Revises Intern Written Exam Delivery</h1>
            <p>The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) has announced modifications to the administration of the Intern Written Exam. Beginning in 2025, remote online proctoring via OnVUE will no longer be available, except under special circumstances.</p>
            <p>
              CEO Bronwyn Clark explained that remote testing was introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic to support pharmacy candidates but is now being phased out in favor of test center-based exams.
            </p>
            <blockquote style="font-style: italic; color: #555; border-left: 3px solid #0fb995; padding-left: 15px; margin: 20px 0;">
              "Since the pandemic, most candidates have returned to test centers as their preferred examination setting. To ensure exam security and integrity, we will continue with in-person assessments, with remote proctoring available only in exceptional cases."

            <p>APC highlights that test centers provide a stable and controlled environment, reducing technical disruptions and ensuring consistency in assessment conditions.</p>

                <p>
                  The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) and the National Australian Pharmacy Student Association (NAPSA) have signed an MOU, formalizing their ongoing partnership and commitment to supporting pharmacy students across Australia.
                </p>
                <p>
                  Signed on 18 November, the agreement was endorsed by APC Chair, Prof. Sarah Roberts-Thomson, and NAPSA National President, Sebastian Harper. This partnership aims to promote student engagement in accreditation discussions, participation in the APC IPE Colloquium™ event, and initiatives supporting First Nations pharmacy students.

                <h3>Perspectives on the Agreement</h3>

                  APC Chair, Prof. Roberts-Thomson emphasized the importance of student participation in accreditation processes:

                <h1 style="color: #0fb995; text-align: center;">APC Supports ‘Doctor of Pharmacy’ Recognition</h1>
                <p>
                  The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) welcomes the announcement by the Hon Mark Butler MP, Minister for Health and Aged Care, confirming that graduates of AQF Level 9 Masters Degree (Extended) programs in Pharmacy will be entitled to use the designation ‘Doctor of Pharmacy’ from 1 January 2025.
                </p>
                <p>
                  This move aligns pharmacy graduates with professionals in other healthcare fields such as physiotherapy, optometry, and dentistry, who already hold similar recognition.
                </p>
                <h3>APC’s Position</h3>
                <p>
                  APC Chair, Prof. Sarah Roberts-Thomson, acknowledged the importance of this recognition:

                  "This change corrects an inconsistency that prevented Masters (Extended) graduates in pharmacy from receiving the same recognition as other health professionals."
